Leslie H. Wexner

Leslie H. Wexner, founder of L Brands, started the company in Columbus, Ohio, in 1963 with one store and first-year sales of $160,000. Today, total sales for L Brands businesses exceed $12 billion.

Mr. Wexner serves as Chairman and CEO of L Brands, a global leader in lingerie, fragrance and beauty, which includes Victoria’s Secret, PINK, Bath & Body Works, White Barn Candle Co., La Senza and Henri Bendel. The company’s products are available in more than 4,000 stores in 80+ countries around the world.

Mr. Wexner has a profound interest in the development of tomorrow’s leaders through the works of Harvard University’s Center for Public Leadership; the Wexner Foundation; and The Ohio State University. His areas of community interest include The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center; the Columbus Partnership; Wexner Center for the Arts at The Ohio State University; Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus; and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, Columbus.

Mr. Wexner has received the Alexis de Tocqueville Society Award of the United Way of America, Woodrow Wilson Award for Citizenship, Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, Knight of the Italian Republic and the American Jewish Committee Herbert H. Lehman Centennial Leadership Award. In 2015 he was named to Harvard Business Review’s Top 100 Best Performing CEOs; he was ranked at #11.

Mr. Wexner is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; chairman, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Board; chairman of the advisory council for the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University; member of the Royal Shakespeare Company International Council; and chairman of the Columbus Partnership. He is also a founding member and the first chair of The Ohio State University Foundation.

Mr. Wexner holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and honorary degrees from Brandeis University; Hebrew Union College; Hofstra University; Marietta College; the Jewish Theological Seminary of America; the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; University of Tel Aviv; and Yeshiva University. Mr. Wexner was inaugurated by Harvard University into the Society of John Harvard Fellows, and serves as a visiting lecturer at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

Mr. Wexner and his wife, Abigail, are the parents of four children.

Stuart  Burgdoerfer

Stuart B. Burgdoerfer

As L Brands Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since April of 2007, Stuart Burgdoerfer leads and is responsible for all enterprise, brand and function finance activities including: financial planning and analysis, control, enterprise risk management and internal audit, tax, and treasury. His non-finance leadership responsibilities include enterprise loss prevention and non-merchandise procurement. For his leadership and guidance, Stuart has repeatedly been recognized as one of “America’s Best CFOs” by the Institutional Investor.

In his career, Stuart has held leadership positions with The Home Depot, Pepsico / YUM! subsidiary Pizza Hut and the management consulting firm CSC Index, and was a CPA for Deloitte.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Progressive Insurance Company and KIPP Journey Academy, and previously served on the boards of Galyan’s Trading Company and Spelman College.

Stuart holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Nicholas Coe
Chief Executive Officer, Bath & Body Works
Nicholas P. M. Coe

Nick Coe holds the position of Chief Executive Officer for Bath & Body Works, a role he was appointed to when he joined L Brands in August 2011. He is responsible for the daily operations of the $3.4 billion business.

A seasoned merchant leader, Nick has built an incredible track record of results throughout his career and has extensive experience in retail, wholesale, catalog, ecommerce and business-to-business channels in both domestic and international markets.

Nick spent several years in a variety of roles with increasing leadership at Levi Strauss. He also served as SVP of Merchandising for Banana Republic overseeing all product categories and as Global President for Land’s End.

Nick is an active leader for the company's Pelotonia campaign and supports the bike ride to help raise money for cancer research.

Charles C. McGuigan

Charles C. McGuigan

Charlie McGuigan is chief operating officer of L Brands and is a member of the company’s executive committee. In this role, he is responsible for leading enterprise operations. From 2010 to 2012 McGuigan served as chief executive officer of Mast Global, the production and sourcing arm of L Brands. He joined L Brands in 2004 as senior vice president of technology services for the company.

Prior to joining L Brands, McGuigan worked for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as a leader in the consumer, product and retail practices. He has significant and diverse industry experience in both domestic and international operations. Before joining Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, McGuigan held several management positions in the consulting and engineering industries.

McGuigan received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ulster in the U.K. and holds a diploma of management sciences in business.

Martin Waters
Chief Executive Officer, International
Martin Waters

Martin Waters joined L Brands in 2008 as head of the international division. Under Martin’s leadership, the international business has expanded from the early phases of incubation to more than 1,000 stores globally. In addition, Martin has overseen the reinvention of La Senza, including relocating the business offices from Canada to the L Brands world headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Through a combination of wholly owned and franchise operations, Martin leads international retail for Victoria’s Secret, PINK, Bath & Body Works and La Senza.

Prior to his role with L Brands, Martin was Managing Director for Boots Retail International, Europe’s leading health and beauty retailer. Martin has lived and worked in five countries leveraging his experience in strategic planning, merchandising, brand management, marketing and supply chain operations to establish new business models in over 75 countries around the world.

Martin received a Bachelor of Arts in Retail Marketing from Manchester University in U.K.

As part of his commitment to the community, Martin is a Governor on the National Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and serves as Chairman of the Midwest region, as well as the Operating Model and Governance Committee.

Martin and his wife Anna have three children.
