Executive Officers

Andrew Meslow serves as chief executive officer of L Brands and Bath & Body Works. He was promoted to CEO of Bath & Body Works in February 2020 after serving as the brand’s chief operating officer for eight years. He joined the L Brands board of directors and became the company’s CEO at the close of its annual meeting of stockholders on May 2020. With more than 15 years of experience at Bath & Body Works and 29 years in specialty retail, he brings deep company knowledge, immense retail and financial acumen, and an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing for customers, the business and company associates.

As the COO of Bath & Body Works, Meslow led several areas of the business, including finance, merchandise planning and allocation, store operations and the direct channel. Meslow joined L Brands in 2003, working in roles at Victoria’s Secret and the corporate group before moving to Bath & Body Works in 2005 as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to joining the enterprise, Meslow was with Banana Republic for more than seven years, where he held a variety of leadership positions including vice president/brand CFO. He began his retail career at Ann Taylor in 1991, where he was part of the Loft launch team.
 

James Bersani ("Jamie") is President of L Brands Real Estate and has led the real estate team since April 2006. L Brands global real estate fleet is comprised of more than 2,600 stores for the Victoria’s Secret, PINK, Bath & Body Works, and White Barn. He is responsible for leading the strategic/proactive execution of all retail real estate transactions (approximately 1,000 annually) and leveraging relationships to deliver analytics to inform L Brands strategy and thinking.

Jamie joined L Brands in 1986 as a Real Estate Director. He held a variety of roles in the real estate department with increasing leadership until his promotion to President, Real Estate in April 2014.

Prior to joining L Brands, Jamie worked in tax law and accounting with Coopers & Lybrand and Ernst & Whinney. He is a licensed attorney and CPA in New York State. Jamie is a three-time graduate of Syracuse University, earning his B.S. and M.S. degrees from its School of Management, as well as his J.D. degree from its College of Law.

Jamie has served as a Trustee for ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), and currently serves on the Buckeye Ranch Foundation Board of Directors.

Stuart Burgdoerfer has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for L Brands since April of 2007. Stuart leads and is responsible for all enterprise, brand and function finance activities including: financial planning and analysis, control, enterprise risk management and internal audit, tax, and treasury. His non-finance leadership responsibilities include enterprise loss prevention and non-merchandise procurement. For his leadership and guidance, Stuart has repeatedly been recognized as one of “America’s Best CFOs” by the Institutional Investor.

In his career, Stuart has held leadership positions with The Home Depot, Pepsico / YUM! subsidiary Pizza Hut and the management consulting firm CSC Index, and was a CPA for Deloitte.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Progressive Insurance Company and KIPP Journey Academy, and previously served on the boards of Galyan’s Trading Company and Spelman College.

Stuart holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Deon Riley serves as chief human resources officer of Bath & Body Works, having joined the business in December 2020. She has responsibility for all human resources practices, including talent acquisition; engagement and retention; organizational development; diversity, equity and inclusion; total rewards; and systems and policy compliance. 

Riley is a strategic HR business partner with a well-honed depth and breadth of experience in large, growth-focused, merchant- and brand-driven organizations across the consumer goods, retail and manufacturing sectors. 

Prior to joining Bath & Body Works, Riley served as group senior vice president of human resources, culture, diversity and inclusion at Ross Stores where she spent eight years. She started her career in sales at United Technologies Corporation, before growing her human resources career at PepsiCo and Abercrombie & Fitch. 

Riley earned her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College, her MBA from Clark Atlanta University and her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. She is a certified executive coach through Columbia University.
 
Julie Rosen joined Bath & Body Works as its president in September 2020, and has oversight of the long-term, strategic direction of the brand’s product, including lead the design and merchandising functions and delivering the profit-and-loss statement for the business.

Prior to joining Bath & Body Works, Rosen served as president of Ann Inc., part of the Ascena Retail Group, with responsibility for Loft, Loft Outlet, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Factory and Lou & Grey. 

Rosen has a deep merchant background and a breadth of leadership experience across merchandising, design, planning, production, marketing and stores. She began her career at Banana Republic and took on progressively larger roles within the merchant team for the brand and Gap. After running her own consulting firm with clients that included Nike, Theory and Bare Escentuals, she returned to Banana Republic as executive vice president for North America, with responsibility for a $2 billion book of business and the global product assortment. 

Rosen is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
